Unlike regular facials, which only address the physical skin concern, at Aluna we talk to you about your lifestyle, what you eat, what you drink, and more. Holistic facials also use ancient practices along with clean skincare that encourages lymphatic drainage and boost skin elasticity, while also cleansing your pores and reducing inflammation.

Aluna Holistic Beauty offers various facial treatments which use Ayurvedic practices such as the Kansa Wand and Andean practices like Holistic Wood Therapy, to boost lymphatic drainage and release toxins from the inside of your body. By releasing toxins in this way, blood flow is stimulated and the body can heal itself easier. These practices can be dehydrating so we always recommend following up with a lot of water post-treatment to help with the drainage benefits.

A Holistic Facial provides benefits that extend further than a regular facial treatment. They incorporate different facial massage techniques, bespoke masks, as well as the normal elements of a regular facial, and we also ensure a relaxing atmosphere.

The clean skincare lines that we use are: Éminence Organics Skin Care, Aypa Natural Skincare, Kama Ayurveda, EmerginC, and Scientific Organics. More new brands are coming later this year. These products are formulated free from parabens and other endocrine disruptors. We don’t realize that a lot of skincare out there is formulated with toxic chemicals that are hurting our skin in the long run and also causing hormonal problems, which can become a vicious cycle. We make sure to prevent this cycle from continuing by using only clean products and we encourage you to do the same at home as well.

Wood connects you to the earth and our tools contain different metals that balance the PH of your skin. Facial massage is a great tool for anti-aging as it works to improve skin elasticity and prevent fine lines from deepening. We also offer massage-specific treatments if you are looking to debloat or decompress during a busy week without the commitment of a full facial.

We look at facials as a full-body experience for complete rejuvenation of the mind, body, and soul, therefore, we practice traditional techniques such as Gua Sha, Ayurvedic treatments, and more as we mentioned above. We aim to provide you with a blissed-out experience that is perfect for a much needed moment of self-care.

Like we mentioned above, it is important to consider all factors of your lifestyle in order to reach your skin goals. Exercise will also help stimulate your lymph and help rid your body of toxins. It is also great for your mental health, which is another key element to glowing skin. Exercising your mind through meditation, sound baths, or just regular baths will destress your mind and help regulate your thoughts. Mind and Physical health work in tandem to balance the body and soothe the skin from within.

Foods such as alcohol, a lot of heavy meats, and sugar will dehydrate and inflame your skin. We recommend avoiding those in your daily diet for the days leading up to and after your Holistic facial. By having your body in the best state, your skin can heal quicker. To increase skin glow, stay hydrated with at least 2 litres of good filtered water a day. Bonus points for adding a pinch of salt and lemon to turn it into an ultra-hydrating drink with natural electrolytes. Drinking enough water is another easy way to help with lymphatic drainage and skin health, as well as decreasing inflammation post-treatment.
