Why we cleanse the Liver in the Springtime:
Traditional Chinese Medicine, Springtime is linked with the liver organ, which is considered to have green energy. It is the time of the year to release the stagnant energy from winter by jumpstarting your digestive tract, working out, getting massages, and stimulating your lymphatic system. The green energy of the liver is activated by eating more green foods and by cleansing the liver we can also help avoid seasonal allergies and boost our immune system. It is the time of year we come out of hibernation and is considered the best time of year for a wellness detox.
Anima Mundi’s Liver Vitality Greens powder contains ten of the most powerful superfoods on the planet, including some super green foods that aid in liver detox. With ingredients such as Chlorella (a heavy metal detoxing algae), Spirulina (an algae with powerful antioxidants and high in vitamins), and Turmeric (an anti-inflammatory root), the powder is the easiest way to fill your body with great nutrients to aid in a spring cleanse to shake off winter. The powder is available for purchase at the studio. You can drink it with water first thing in the morning but we also love to add it to our morning green smoothie.
